It has been an incredible journey for nearly 3 1/2 years but for all the wrong reasons. On the 15th of March 2017 Justice finally prevailed whereby the murder conviction was quashed and substituted to manslaughter diminished responsibility. The UK's top 5 judges concluded that Al's mental state substantially impaired his ability to make rational decisions. This in turn contributed to the outcome of that fateful day in Afghanistan in 2011.
On Friday the 24th of March we will once again stand shoulder to shoulder for one final time to show Alexander Blackman and his family the support he wholeheartyedly deserves for serving this country proudly with distinction for 15 years.
