Tropical groovesters HABITATS are a four-piece indie-pop band from Hampshire. Their new single 'Clubhouse' is released on 7th April (Pre-Order: goo.gl/x9D4ki ) and it stands as a frantic escapade observing British small town nightlife. ‘Clubhouse’ follows on from previous EPs 'Diamond Days' and 'Jungles' which gained radio love from the likes of Huw Stevens (BBC Radio 1), Steve Lamacq (BBC 6 Music) and John Kennedy (Radio X) as well as KEXP in USA, while drawing comparisons to the likes of Vampire Weekend, Foals, The Stone Roses and The 1975.
Habitats still very much relish the idea of not having a specific frontman, with each of them providing enough strong characteristics in the music to be able to swap microphones at will, forming an array of sunshine melodies and vocal harmonies over danceable, catchy beats. Oh, and their lyrics are 'gathered from daydreams'.
Summer 2016 saw Habitats interrupt their reverie to support The Temper Trap and take a spin around the UK festival circuit, stopping off at Festival No.6, Blissfields, 110 Above, Tramlines and Standon Calling before headlining The Borderline in London.
