Unit 8, Queen's Yard, Hackney Wick, E9 5EN London, United Kingdom
Join us for a day and night party in Hackney Wick — starting on a boat rooftop and ending beneath our Forest Canopy dancefloor at Mick's Garage.
4PM-7PM — BOAT PARTY (SOLD OUT)⛵
The Milkfloat is a 70-person ship permanently moored on the Lea Canal with a large grass-covered rooftop.
The rooftop, decorated for the day with flowers, foliage and neon, hosts Jess Farley and Flamingo Pier DJs playing disco, world, funk and soul. Tasty skewers are on offer from an open air BBQ above deck whilst CRATE beer/cider and JARR Kombucha cocktails are served from the downstairs bar below.
7PM-2:30 AM — MICK'S GARAGE (TICKETS AVAILABLE) 🌴
One minute walk from the boat is Mick's Garage, a converted Warehouse with large dance floor, two outdoor courtyards (one with all day sun) and a mezzanine level with plenty of seating. The sound system is a 4 point Funktion 1 from RSH Audio to ensure you're fully immersed on the dancefloor.
We’ve taken inspiration for the venue decoration from Mayan ruins in the Mexican jungle. The theme flows into the food and drinks with Hola Guacamole Food Truck in the courtyard and Tequila Kombucha cocktails on offer alongside CRATE beer/cider from two bars across the venue.
Scottish disco legend The Revenge has long been on the FP radar with his production work featuring on esteemed labels DFA, My Favourite Robot and Roar Groove, home of his debut album released in 2015. He’s also one-half of the 6th Borough Project, releasing two albums on the excellent Delusions of Grandeur label. His remix of Auntie Flo’s ‘Waiting For A Woman’ was one of the biggest tracks of last summer. He’s widely regarded for his DJ skills, honed as a regular at Glasgow’s iconic Sub Club and further afield. soundcloud.com/the-revenge
Mark E has had a steady ascension to his status as one of the UK’s most natural talents in disco and house. Once ‘Scared,’ a ten-minute rework of Womack & Womack, found the ears of Giles Peterson, it was on, and a solid string of memorable, vinyl-only releases introduced the world at large to this devoted house head. Mark went beyond edits and into original production, releasing with labels Running Back, Golf Channel, ESP & Futureboogie, plus starting his own label, MERC, and honing a classic house sound with a tinge of disco warmth. soundcloud.com/merc_music
Jess Farley first caught our attention with a DJ mix for Ransom Note that showcased her talent as a selector of disco, house and world music. Subsequent mixes for Bicep and Disco Halal have proven her to be one of London’s most exciting new DJs. She’s also the founder of the Rhythm Sister DJ collective, a community working to support female and genderqueer people with a passion for music. soundcloud.com/jess_farley
