Back for a 43rd year and returning to Brockwell Park on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 July 2017, boasting a unique line-up that celebrates the very best of the city and countryside. With over 170,000 people attending in 2016, the show is now one of the biggest public events in the UK.

Our family friendly music day is guaranteed to get your body moving, whatever your age.
★ The Hot 8 Brass Band ★
Transcending genres and trends, Hot 8 have performed and collaborated with a wide range of artists, from Lauryn Hill to Mos Def, and were nominated for a Grammy in 2013. In the live arena they continue to win over audiences with their old school street brass approach, fusing it with fresh versions of Snoop Dogg, Stevie Wonder, The Specials and of course, Marvin Gaye with their cover of ‘Sexual Healing’.
★ Ady Suleiman ★
The average singer songwriter tends to be precisely that, but 24-year-old Ady Suleiman throws the rulebook out of the window with a fresh, intimate mix of R&B, hip-hop and reggae with his music’s roots stretching back through the last fifty years of music. On record, as on stage, the diverse array of influences are stitched together by the Nottingham-born star-to-be’s sparky, larger-than-life personality.
★ Loose Ends Featuring Jane Eugene ★
Loose Ends took the world by storm in 1983. They've had various hits...Hangin' On A String, Slow Down, You Can't Stop The Rain, Watching You, Mr. Bachelor and so many more. After 30 years this group continues to travel all over blazing the stage with their hottest hits.
★ Absolute Bowie Band ★
Absolute Bowie are Europe’s Finest David Bowie Tribute. The five piece has toured all over Europe for the last 8 years, faithfully performing the music of David Bowie with uncanny accuracy. The audience are taken on a journey experiencing the different personas of Bowie, from Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane through to The Thin White Duke and the late 80's.
★ Hak Baker ★
In 2015 after applying for Capital Xtra's Music Potential Programme, he was selected and short-listed into an intense fortnight music workshop. Eventually this would lead to him performing in Camden's 'Koko' and was named best Singer Songwriter of the programme. Continuing on his craft a year later he was shortlisted to take part in the Levi's Music project, figure-headed by Skepta. This led to a performance in the V&A museum at the end of 2016 and further performances for Levi's in Brussels. Hak is to release his debut single 7AM in spring of 2017, followed by The Misfits EP.

Roots Reggae Day is back again for 2017. Expect a whole host of international and legendary talent of reggae, dub and ska throughout the day.
★ Bugle ★
His love for dancehall and reggae music began from an early age, while he was going to primary school. He did not got
his break until 2000 when he met with fellow dancehall artiste Oniel Bryan popular known as Elephant man. This led to him started writing songs for Elephant man. In 2001 he was featured on his «Good To Go» Tour. Bugle was also featured on BET’s 106 and Park and Appearance 2002 MTV Awards in Japan.
★ Queen Omega ★
Queen Omega hails from San Fernando in Trinidad. Encouraged by her mother (to whom she pays moving tribute on «Mama»), she began entering local talent shows from the age of nine, writing her own calypsos and even rapping on national television. Now under the management of Graeme Sealy and Trini Productions; Queen Omega continues to tour the Caribbean and Europe and has performed on many of the largest Reggae festival stages such as; Reggae Rising (USA), SNWMF (USA), JaSound (France), African Music Festival (Germany) and Sao Paulo (Brazil).
★ Mafia & Fluxy ★
Mafia and Fluxy are blood brothers and masters of drums and bass guitar. They are known as the Sly and Robbie of the UK. With 30 years in the business producing music for every jamaican legendary name, they have toured and produced music for artists like Luciano, Gregory Issacs, John holt, Horace Andy, Beres Hammond, Taurus Rily to mention a few. Mafia and Fluxy are the nicest guys and the Talent of reggae music backing up many of our star names on LCS Roots day.
★ Michael Prophet ★
Prophet is a legendary Jamaican performer from 1977 now resident in the UK and has energy that excels. His 1980 album 'Serious Reasoning' was released by Island Records in the UK, establishing his reputation internationally. Michael Prophet thrives on live stage performance and his enthusiasm is infectious.
★ Abacush ★
Hailing from South london were the 80's girlpower band in reggae.
They have a strong roots sound with soul. Abacush have reformed for 2017 and bring their joyful vibes to Lambeth Country Show.
★ Christopher Ellis ★
Christopher Ellis is the son of the late great Alton Ellis, one of the rock steady heroes of reggae music. Alton had a record shop in Brixton for many years, was based in the UK and toured worldwide. His son Christopher sounds remarkably like his father, and is also a great vocal artist. See him live with his own Ellis brand of reggae and playing tribute to his father.
★ Teshay Makeda ★
Coming from a musical background, Teshay Makeda has been singing since the age of seven. She started showcasing with The Twelve Tribes of Israel and she was part of the school choir. At the age of ten, she joined Vocal Zones Productions where she was vocally trained really improving her performance ability. These foundations have moulded Teshay into the artist that she is today.
★ General Roots ★
General Roots are fresh to the UK reggae scene, but are offer the finest dub and heavyweight lovers rock. The band tour internationally with artists like Hollie Cook and they are masters of their craft and will kick off the Main Stage with reggae power on Sunday 16 July.

London based DubMarta fronts a 5-piece band performing her original music; an explosive mix of reggae, dub and soul with a distinctive and original sound.

Featuring a trumpet, voice, loop pedal and guitar. Paul Lynch's songs use interesting lyrics and rhythms that you would not usually see in your every day gig!

Singer/Songwriter Lucy May has supported the likes of The Dunwells & Marc Wilkinson. She is a regular busker at London's Borough Market, London underground and on the Southbank.
★ Megan and The Common Threads ★
Weaving a unique tapestry of country, blues, folk, funk & rock'n'roll.
★ The Obscuritones ★
London Greaserbilly for Rock-a-Hulagans. Playing the best rockabilly rarities from the fifties.. surfin', spy and garage rock from the sixties.
★ Tall Poppies ★
Eccentric indie-pop four piece fronted by Australian identical twin sister songstresses Susan and Catherine on vocals, bass and guitar with Diarmuid pulling at heart strings on violin and Doug injecting the energy and danceability on drums.

A world-folk-fusion band featuring lead singer Liam Rickard and the former Timestealers plus various instrumentalists from different countries.

★ Vauxhall City Farm ★
Our good friends at Vauxhall City Farm have been attending the show for many years and they will bringing everything except the kitchen sink with them. Their whole family of sheep, donkeys, alpacas, rabbits, ducks and more will be attendence for their annual weekend trip. There will even be hatching stations to watch chicks born in front of your very eyes, as well as various arts & craft workshops and the infamous 'cuddle corner'.
★ Brymills Livestock Enterprises Competitive Sheep Show ★
Featuring a large variety of British sheep breeds competing for the title of 'Lambeth 2017 Best in Show'
★ The Sheep Show ★
‘Nobby’ the Norfolk Horn stands centre stage while others are introduced to their podiums. Learn about each breeds attributes and how wool from the sheep’s back becomes a jumper to wear. The 30 minute show is cleverly devised and is highly entertaining and extremely informative, a rare combination. The highlight of the show is the “The Sheep Show Hustle — look out for the dancing sheep!

Our very own Flower Show offers visitors a traditional, friendly and quaint atmosphere, with fun and exciting activities for those with green fingers.
Back for a second year curating the Flower Zone is the RHS — Royal Horticultural Society. They’ll be bringing along expert exhibitors selling top quality plants, offering free gardening advice and workshops including floral crowns and willow weaving. New for this year is the 'Pocket Park' installation. Designed by the RHS Young Designer of the Year Finalists for 2017, it will inspire anyone with small urban gardens.
RHS Garden advisors will also be on hand to offer help on all things garden related, so feel free to bring along some samples or photos of plants from your garden to quiz them about. You will also have the chance to become a member of the RHS at a discounted rate and enjoy all the benefits that membership has to offer.

All competitions are organised in partnership with the Lambeth Horticultural Society. Expect vegetable characters, scarecrow and recycled garden competitions, bonsai exhibits and fruit cakes. There’s something for everyone!

Lambeth Sustainable Travel Team is again hosting a wide range of cycling elements at this year’s show. Find their Cycle Zone next to the cycle parking by the Herne Hill entrance to the park.

A special biker’s valet service will be available to cyclists who ride to the event via Herne Hill entrance (Gate 5). Look for the red Cycle Confident marquee.

Jump up into the cab of our Veolia lorry to check out blind spots and have a chat with the driver about how we can safely road share.
