Saabeah Theos and Femme Culture invite you to a night celebrating what it means to be a woman with an exciting line up of DJs, live music, art and a screening of 'Ode to a Fuckboi': a short film by Saabeah Theos and Harry Lindley.
It all kicks off at Folklore @ 9pm on May 26. Entry is FREE until 10pm so invite your lovers, haters, or resident fuckbois / fuckgirls and let's spend the evening enjoying and enduring each other.
More about the film: ‘Ode to a Fuckboi' was born out of a spectacular moment of feminine anger. The film uses spoken word and imagery that plays on elements of the hyper real. Though emotional in its exploration of heartbreak, it challenges the negative portrayal of a “woman scorned” and exists instead as a celebration of womanhood and the beauty of female friendship in the face of loved lost.”
Femme Culture will be providing the party vibes with incredible females on the decks all night long playing delights from the depths of bass, house to afo and beyond.
DJ Sets from:
LUD0 (Bleep.com / Femme Culture)
Elkka (Femme Culture)
Nemo b2b Jetsss (Radar Radio)
Dj Chin (Boko Boko)
FC was founded by artist / producer Elkka, who initially started it as a record label but has naturally developed into a collective who create and curate parties that celebrate females in the arts.
Live art will be provided by Lydia Rae, born in the glorious north of England, she now lives and works in ol' London town. She loves trees and bread and anything blue and creates artwork that perfectly encapsulates what it means to be young and female with just the right amount of sass!
