Benjamin Damage (Live)
DON'T BE LEFTOUT…
One of the key signings on Cologne’s Traum Schallplatten Max Cooper’s melodic sound crossing between IDM and experimental has made him one of electronic music’s most individual forces. He first started DJing through the 90s, while more recently following his 2016 ‘Emergence’ LP he’s pushed the boundaries of the club experience via his own audio-visual live performances. As one of the most current artists in the electronic circuit today, it’s a privilege to have Max Cooper bringing his record collection back to Farringdon. Joining him for a live performance in Room One is Benjamin Damage, the mysterious techno producer signed to Berlin’s 50Weapons powerhouse. The British producer put out his first release on Modeselektor’s defunct imprint in 2010, and his acclaimed LP ‘Obsidian’ became the label’s swansong before it stopped operations in 2015. Damage returns to Farringdon for a live set in Room One. The bill is finally rounded off by Falty DL, the Planet Mu and Ninja Tune affiliate and master of the modern 2-step sound. Emerging in the haze of post-dubstep, Drew Lustman became recognised for his distinctive bass-informed sound, with his productions landing across labels as varied as Swamp 81 and Ninja Tune. With last year’s ‘Mean Streets (Part Three)’ seeing him go into forays of breakbeat and house for Loefah’s definitive imprint, Lustman consistently proves his ability to operate across the spectrum of electronic soundscapes.
Over in Room Two long standing friend and fabric 81 compiler brings his new party enterprise Don't Be Leftout to Farringdon. Tolfrey's been building the brand by inviting integral players from his Leftroom label extended family to spin alongside him and so far these parties have taken place across Europe and the rest of the UK. Tonight he's picked out Route 94 ot DJ and Heartthrob to perform live as part of the set up.
