Following up on their genre-bending album on The Vinyl Factory and a year of touring as far and wide as Festival Number 6 in the UK, Wonderfruit Festival in Thailand, (le) Poisson Rouge in New York, Old Town in Chicago, and a sold out show at The Elgar Room at the Royal Albert Hall, Kate Simko & London Electronic Orchestra are honoured to perform at one of London's most iconic venues, The Jazz Cafe.
LEO's biggest London show of the year, the night will feature a quartet of harp, violin, and two cellos alongside Kate on keyboards and vocalist Alex Marshall.
Kate Simko & London Electronic Orchestra’s distinct sound places the beauty, texture and intricacies of classical instruments against her organic, electronic productions. The genre-bending ensemble meshes Simko’s background as a producer, composer, pianist, and DJ.
The LEO live set brings classical music’s ornate instruments to the dancefloor through an inimitable blend of sonorous strings and loose-grooved beats.
Opening set by J-Felix, best known for his releases on Brighton’s Tru Thoughts label. Blending early trip-hop with all things funk, jazz and soul, J-Felix is prepping a special live show for the event.
