FABRICLIVE preps for the arrival of a bona fide drum & bass heavyweight this June as Roni Size returns to Farringdon. Emerging during the jungle movement of the early 90s, his productions earned him the reputation as a pioneer of the sound. His album ‘New Forms’ helped to give him a surge in popularity, and through the years his label Full Cycle has been a go-to avenue for the key productions of Size and his peers. With his most recent single dropping on the label last year, Size continues to push his music, while labels like Hospital have also been home to his strand of D&B. Joining Size are a string of heavy hitters on the 170BPM end of the electronic spectrum, as Calyx & Teebee bring the sound of RAM to Room One, joined by Dubz Audio’s DJ Guv and Bristolians D*Minds. Also slated to join them is Serial Killaz signee Upgrade, while Total Recall and Data3 round off the bill. Room One is also guided by some of the best in D&B, with Dynamite MC and Jakes stepping up alongside IC3 and LX One on hosting duties.

Over in Room Two, we await a night of the the UK Funky sound as Roska brings Kicks & Snares to the building. The night is headed by Roska, while he invites a string of artists that have come to define the sound of his bass-led imprint. Rinse FM player DJ Champion brings his hybrid of funky and grime-informed beats, playing alongside house head DJ Pioneer. Murder He Wrote and Majora provide their take on the UK bass sound, joined by Distro and DJ Polo. The bill is finally rounded off with Serocee, Ramzee and Serious making their FABRICLIVE debuts.
