Join the trade union rally in central London on 17 July.
Workers in the UK have endured the longest pay squeeze since Victorian times – and wages are still lower than they were in 2008.
The government has inflicted a decade of pay restraint on public service workers. Years of pay freezes followed by a 1% limit means that wages have been cut 10% in real terms.
Overstretched public service workers feel taken for granted. Public services are finding it tough to attract new recruits and hold on to experienced staff.
It is time for a change.
The PM says she wants an economy that works for everyone. So it’s time for hardworking public servants like our emergency services, nurses, school staff, council workers and civil servants to finally get the payrise they have earned.
Join our rally on Monday 17 July. Make your voice heard. Call on the government to stop the artificial wage restrictions and give fair pay to public service workers.
Britain STILL needs a payrise!
