EYES CLOSED, EARS COVERED
A new play by Alex Gwyther
Woking 1986. Seb and Aaron have been planning this day for weeks. They’ve forged their sick notes. They’ve saved, scraped and stolen the money where they can. They've scrubbed their hands clean… and now they're actually going to do it.
Eyes Closed, Ears Covered explores the effects that domestic violence can have on a young person's mental health. Two teenage boys are seemingly caught up in a harmless quest to Brighton. Yet as their story progresses, a series of entwining police interviews reveal the dark truth of a hidden past that lies behind this innocent adventure.
Starring BBC EastEnders’ Danny-Boy Hatchard, Joe Idris-Roberts (Forty Years On, Chichester Festival Theatre) and Phoebe Thomas (Hetty Feather, Vaudeville Theatre).
