Magnum photographers have described themselves as an ‘idiosyncratic mix of journalist, artist and storyteller’ and over the last seventy years developed a mode of visual storytelling using their own visual style and voice to reflect on the world around them.
In this talk, author Geoff Dyer and Magnum photographer Patrick Zachmann explore the idea of the photographer as storyteller, reflecting photography’s power to narrate, suggest, inform, and connect. More speakers will be announced soon.
This event is part of the Magnum Photos Now talks programme at the Barbican Centre.
