Continuing our long standing tradition of converting empty coaching stock moves into Charity Trains, we're pleased to be able to announce the first of our Charity Charters for 2017.
On Sunday July 16th, «The Charitable Chibble» will depart Ipswich with a single Class 66 running up the GE picking up at Stratford, then via High Meads and Cheshunt picking up again at Cambridge then via March to Peterborough where the 66 will hand over to a pair of Harry Needles fine Class 20 locomotives. We will then venture on via Oakham, Loughborough, Toton, Chesterfield, Sheffield, Darnall, Worksop, Gainsborough, Sleaford avoider, Spalding and back to Peterborough where the 20s will hand over to another Class 66 (we intend this to be a different one from the morning). The train will then continue on up the East Coast Main Line setting down at Finsbury Park, then via Camden Road, Gospel Oak, Acton Main Line, Reading and terminating in Basingstoke.
