An environmental catastrophe destroys civilization. Thousands are starving. Millions are dead. Resources are used up, poisoned and polluted. Found among the survivors are the Custance clan. Led by father John (Nigel Davenport) and mother Ann (Jean Wallace), they abandon their London home and head for the sanctuary of John’s brother’s farm. But their quest for safety takes them across a country fast descending into barbarism, where the law of the gun prevails, and the civilized values they once took for granted become the price they must pay if they are to survive…

“Chilling and in-your-face, No Blade of Grass is one of the most unforgettable science fiction films of the 1970s”
–John Kenneth Muir, Reflections on Cult Films

“Tense and provocative”
–The Rough Guide to Cult Movies

The screening will be preceded by a talk from Abi Aspen Glencross of Future Farm Lab / The Sustainable Food Story / OurField who will ask the question ‘How do we avoid a food-pocalypse?’
