Moving Night is a new event happening at Chisenhale Dance Space, once every three months. The evening starts with a workshop focused on Tribal Dance and Self-Expression where the facilitator, participants and live drumming interact creating a flowing synergy.

After the workshop the evening goes on with Performances from guest artists, musicians, poets… anyone willing to share creativity and to experiment freely! Lastly, we finish with a jam session where people express themselves and socialise in their own way.
The event has a friendly atmosphere and aims to be an accessible platform to get together, have fun and share artistic ideas.

Hosted and Curated by CDS Artist Member Shakti Orion.

Shakti Orion is a choreographer, performance and visual artist, originally from Spain, and based in London for the last ten years. She studied at Trinity Laban Centre and at Goldsmiths College. Over the last few years she has been working at the fringe of dance and visual arts, as her practice moves between live art, dance, installation, video, photography, painting and collages. She also works as a community dance artist in integration art projects.
