Forget Notting Hill — It’s all about Kamwenge Karnival this month!
Come and have a dance in support of the Kamwenge Scholarship Fund — a charity launched this year to sponsor the secondary education of kids in Western Uganda!
Built in partnership with Robert Kamasaka — a teacher and the founder of the Equatorial College School — the Fund is currently supporting 14 kids. With your help, we hope to raise the money to continue supporting them as well as taking on an aditional five next year- and eventually expanding to another school.
Dancing in a dark room is something most of us do every weekend anyway, so why not do it for a cause which has potential to change lives!
We'll be at the Arcola Bar in Dalston playing the finest latin, afrobeat, highlife and house, with a visual display showing footage of local everyday life.
