Join the cast/crew of “Dick Whittington and His Cat”

We, Concorde Productions, are delighted to be bringing pantomime back to the Magna Carta Arts Centre in Staines Upon Thames this December.

So, we are looking for local performers (actors, singers & dancers)
to join our cast of this fun family panto. Oh yes we are!

Plus, we need people to help out in a multitude of behind the scenes roles such as: costumes, lighting, set constructions, stage crew, sound, props, front of house etc. etc.

Key Dates:-

For your chance to become part of the magic that will be “Dick Whittington and His Cat”, simply come along on the following dates & times:-

• Thursday 10th August at 7:00PM — Preview
• Monday 21st August at 7:000PM – Audition 1
• Thursday 24th August at 7:00PM – Audition 2

at the Magna Carta School (R2 Drama studio), Thorpe Road, Staines Upon Thames, Surrey, TW18 3HJ.

The preview will be your chance to meet the team, read the script, hear the songs and find out more about what the auditions will entail and so is highly recommended for anyone looking to perform on stage.

See facebook.com/TheConcordePlayers or concordeproductions.co.uk or email [email protected] for details.

Rehearsals starts at the beginning of September and “Dick Whittington” will be performed from Mon 4th to Sat 9th December 2017.

About the show:

Unlike most pantomimes which are based on fairy tales, “Dick Whittington” is the only panto to be based on a real life person. Yes, there really was a Richard Whittington, and he really did become (Lord) Mayor of London in the late 14th century!

Written by pantomime virtuoso Peter Denyer, this version of the classic tale features jokes aplenty, slapstick, larger-than-life characters, action and adventure, some magical goings on as good battles evil, and plenty of singing, dancing and fun to entertain the whole family. Oh yes it does!
