Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is a wonderfully effective method, which is a pleasure to both give and receive. It is based on traditional Ayurvedic Massage and Iyengar yoga, and its popularity in the UK has been growing as more therapists and clients experience it. This course is suitable for beginners, but also as a specialization for therapists trained in other modalities.

Ayurvedic Yoga Massage Level 1 is an intensive 15-hour course, which teaches you an extremely effective AYM sequence. The 15 hours will be covered over a weekend, i.e. two 8 to 8.5 hour days including the breaks.

Level 1 includes learning a sequence to massage the back of the body with the client lying face down. So we will learn to massage the back, neck and back of the legs with hands and feet, and to stretch the client while lying face down. We will also learn some stretches with the client in a seated position. You can already give people a lovely 60-90 min massage just by attending L1. I have added a head and face massage to the traditional AYM L1 so that the massage that you will give after attended this course will feel like a complete session to your clients. So you can start giving amazing massage, and earning, after the end of your L1 course. You are not going to believe me unless you've had massage from one of my students, but you are going to be amazing and people are going to love their sessions with you after the end of this weekend (see links to testimonials below). It's a brilliant method, and I can teach you how to adjust it to client needs in a way that makes everyone feel like you are giving them the perfect session for them.

If you join us for this course it would be highly recommended that you also come to the L2 weekend where we will revise L1 materials and also learn a sequence to massage and stretch the front of the body (front of the legs, abdomen and chest — or with women who are shy just front of shouders), and some sitted stretches. That will allow you to offer a full body Ayurvedic Yoga Massage.

Most of what we do in the AYM videos with the client facing down is included in L1. Also see photos in the discussion.

I will only accept a very limited number of students for this course (maximum 8 students). This way there will never be more than 4 students practising at the same time, and everyone can receive my closest attention.

We will be working for 8.5 hours per day including the breaks. Tea, coffee, snacks and lunches will be provided. 10 am-6.30 pm on both days, unless some of you request to adjust the times slightly.
