The latest instalment of Misfit takes us to Basing House in the heart of Shoreditch where we celebrate our 4th birthday and the launch of our record label, Misfit Music marking debut E.P release «The Elusive».
With a residency at iconic Belfast techno institution Shine under his belt and regular gigs in Europe rubbing shoulders with global heavyweights, Dynamo Recordings boss Stephen Garrett aka Fractious needs little introduction. His studio work has gained him recognition as an exciting producer with releases on Tronic, Trapez, Waveform, KMS among others and is now collaborating with Misfit Music. His sets are a superlative blend of hypnotic loops, irresistible grooves and infectious percussion with a splash of mischief and the occasional dash of venom. We can't wait!
Joining Fractious we welcome back a Misfit favourite, Mannheim's Angie Taylor. An accomplished musician, Angie's talent saw her selected to play bass guitar with the legendary Jeff Mills at The Louvre for his «Exhibitionist 2» shows. Her bass playing is incorporated into her live show with live vocals, effects and Ableton wizardry — a 21st century one-woman band- allowing her explore and conjure a unique dark and warped sound showcased in her panicROOM shows.
Completing the line-up is the enigmatic Cool Hand Luke. Luke has been a figure on the London circuit for almost 2 decades with stints at Egg, SeOne and Koko among others and his own long running radio show on Passion FM. Expect a vinyl-only trip through acid house, groovy minimal and 12 inch rarities concocted via trademark deep mixes and spellbinding transitions.
