We’ll make a japa mala (108 beads) and we'll learn how to use it to meditate, exploring choosing a personal mantra.
There will be a choice of wooden malas from India to choose form, to break and restring to make your own. I will be in India in November so will make sure I have a fabulous range. Because malas are all 108 beads the length is determined by the size of bead, so a bit of choosing is needed.
And there will be a great choice in gemstones — I have gemstones that represent and symbolise many virtues and energies and values that you will choose from as a guru bead. Amethyst calms and soothes, agate protects, carnelian brings good luck. Jasper brings contentment and rose quartz is the stone of gentle love. Turquoise, the stone of friendship is believed to attract success and love. I have been buying stones for 30 years on my travels in all the corners of the world and I’ll share some of them with you…
The ‘charms’ — OM’s and other symbols are all sterling silver.
I tie the tassels myself because I use 100% cotton so you can choose colours, thickness, length yodurself.
Join me to make one for yourself or for a gift for someone you love…
