Escape the city and let us take you on a trip as the August Friday Late goes on holiday. Journey through the V&A collection on a treasure hunt which takes you around the world. From sun cream to swimsuits, stay poolside and learn about how independent designers are rethinking our holiday essentials. Question the future of the British passport, unpack the best summer reads and create your own ice cream flavours.

All events are free and places are designated on a first-come, first-served basis, unless stated otherwise. Filming and photography will take place at this event.

Please note, if the Museum reaches capacity we will allow access on a one-in, one-out basis.

SUNDAY LONDON embraces cultural diversity and different body shapes, creating reversible swimwear with bold prints. Join designer and founder Fallanne Tanya as she discusses how she challenges the fashion industry portrayal of women and the inspiration behind the brand.

Wonder through abstract landscapes by textile designer Katherine Plumb. Hung overhead, step into oversized imagery inspired by a trip to California, created through graphic patterns and bright primary colours.

Journey through the V&A collection on a treasure hunt. Globe-trot across galleries and team up to track down objects inspired by travel. From the Silk Road to the Crusades and the Grand Tour, work together to decipher clues and pose for a snap next to your findings, as you race against the clock to be the winning team.

The passport is a unique symbol of national identity and a critical piece of national infrastructure. How do you design a passport, juggling design and security? Question who passports should be designed for and how innovations in bio-data is affecting our privacy. Speakers include Corinna Gardner; Senior Curator of Design and Digital at the V&A, Julian Payne; Creative Director De La Rue, the world's biggest producer of passports, Ben Hobson; Dezeen Studio Director.

Exploring an identity in flux, design blog Dezeen ran an unofficial competition to redesign the passport. Flick through a selection of submitted proposals, alongside the winning design by Scottish graphic designer Ian Macfarlane.
