As a DJ and production collective, Jazzanova are one of the foremost proponents of the nu-jazz, chillout and jazz house styles of music associated with record labels such as Compost Records and Sonar Kollektiv.
As the group’s founding member, we’re honoured to be welcoming Claas Breiler to the Jazz Café for a trip through sounds from across soul, funk and jazz tinged house. A record digger with a voracious appetite for new and unheard sounds, Claas’s 15,000 odd record collection is the stuff of envy and it’s fair to say we can’t wait to hear some of the best bits.
The other half of UNKLE, Matthew Puffet joins the bill. Responsible for their inconic sound, Puffet has worked alongside the likes of Thom Yorke (Radiohead), the Beastie Boys, Badly Drawn Boy and Richard Ashcroft.
