Loving Kindness is the basic positive emotion. It’s an essential part of what makes life enjoyable and fulfilling. Cultivating it effectively will transform all your relationships for the better, with a positive ripple effect on the world around you.
If you want more experience and understanding of loving kindness, this course explores it in greater depth than is possible in drop-in classes or our Introduction to Meditation course. You’ll develop your skill in working with the Metta Bhavana (cultivation of loving kindness) meditation practice, as well as discovering ways you can weave loving kindness into your daily life. With a mix of instruction, practical exercises and discussion, you’ll learn more about the principles underlying the practice, with tips for making it work for you individually, and ways of addressing its challenges. Full notes will be provided.
The course is open to anyone who knows the Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana practices.
