*Please note this event is for UCL academics, UCL researchers and UCL PhD students*
— The Institute of Advanced Studies is pleased to extend an invitation to the IAS Open House. This is an opportunity for current and new researchers at UCL to gain an insight into the various research forums and centres hosted by the IAS and will provide an opportunity for UCL academics and researchers to become involved with these interdisciplinary and interdepartmental initiatives. There will be time for mingling and socialising as well as hearing about research across the joint faculties.
— The following IAS based centre/network co-ordinators will give short presentations on their work, on new and ongoing initiatives as well as on ways to get involved: Elena Fiddian-Qasmiyeh (Refuge in a Moving World), Alexander Samson (Centre for Early Modern Exchanges), Robert Mills (Q UCL), Philippa Hetherington (Gender and Feminism Research network), Mike Rowlands and Rodney Harrison (Centre for Critical Heritage Studies), Sonu Shamdasani (Health Humanities), Tariq Jazeel and Jagjeet Lally (Centre for the Study of South Asia and the Indian Ocean World), Matthew Davies and Hélène Neveu Kringelbach (UCL African Studies Research Centre), Peter Zusi (FRINGE Centre), Stefanie Rauch (UCL Centre for Collective Violence, Holocaust and Genocide Studies), and Stephanie Bird (Centre for Multidisciplinary and Intercultural Inquiry).
— The presentations will be followed by a drinks reception.
— All UCL academics, post docs and PhD students welcome.
