Joe Wilkes is an uncomprising artist and activist who's been at the forefront of the London folk and acoustic scene for well over a decade. Long before the acoustic folk revival at the end of the 00's Wilkes had already carved out his niche as an anarchic and ruthlessly independent artist. Know for his bright and clear fingerpicking, songwriting gravitas, poetics and alluring voice Wilkes has led the way not just in London but across the UK to Europe and the USA.
«Beyond the usual Folk confines, Wilkes is a major talent» R2 Magazine
«There is a parallel universe to ours where Lady Gaga is a pub singer and Simon Cowell is a used car salesmen.
In that same universe London singer/songwriter Joe Wilkes is a superstar, his records sell by the million and he owns a ranch in Texas complete with runway and private jet.» Pete Graham
