Join us as Tom Walker and co-writer Andrew Doyle talk to author and comedian Shappi Khorsandi about the comic persona, Jonathan Pie.
When the British actor and comedian Tom Walker created the fictitious news reporter Jonathan Pie (while working, we can’t resist pointing out, at Foyles) he can’t have predicted that the character would become a sensation across the nation and the world.
Viewed in the millions on YouTube and Facebook, Jonathan Pie’s angry yet insightful diatribes have garnered him a massive online following and Tom’s 2017 national tour culminated in a sell-out evening at the London Palladium. We’re delighted and more than a little proud that he’s now returning to Foyles to launch his first book, in which everyone’s favourite frustrated news reporter picks off ten of the world’s worst w*****s and tears them apart.*
Expect spleen venting, strong language and belly laughs at this exclusive London event, as Tom, Andrew and Shappi explore the life and times of Jonathan Pie.
