What happens when you quit your job to follow your dreams?

We've all thought about it. Throwing in the towel. Giving your boss the finger. Quitting to start a business; become a globe-trotter; work for a non-profit, or just laze on a beach.

But is it possible? Or just a pipe-dream?

Come and hear from SIX ex-employees who took the plunge. What are they doing now? How did it work out? Can you do it too — and if so, how?? What about your mortgage? Family? Relationships? Career??

Here are some examples of some of the guest speakers we have had at our previous events…

— Lucy escaped from Legal to upcycling ocean waste into eco-friendly corporate giveaways!
— Vix retrained from Army Officer to yoga and well-being teacher
— Laura was a Barrister, then established a mental health charity in Rwanda and wrote a book
— Hugh made the change from Heinz to start his own healthy drinks company, «Ugly Drinks»!
— Kiko escaped from Teaching to environmentalist and TransAtlantic rower!
— Henry fled the Big 4 to founding an NGO and adventure travel business in East Africa!
— Adela handed in her notice as a consultant at Sky, lived in a — bamboo hut for 3 months and launched a fashion brand!..

Expect some wild journeys, actionable insights, flowing beers — and leave knowing how you could find fulfilling work and meaning in your career as well.

You'll not only hear from people just like you who made a change to find fulfillment, but you can learn how they did it, the methods they used, what they wouldn't do again and exact steps you can take to begin the journey.

How to find job vacancies that are never publicised. Sources of funding for your startup. Tips to ease out of your current employment and into something better — and more.

Host and presenter for the evening: Henry C. Blanchard, who left Deloitte to create an adventure sports business and set up a charity in rural Uganda.

— LDN Talks is a new concept which aims to re-invent your after work drinks. We've pulled together an impressive array of leading entrepreneurs, intellectuals and bright thinkers to leave you feeling inspired.
