Robin Elliott is a songwriter and singer hailing from the North West of England.
A gruff, dry sense of humour, a voice like brushed smoke, and a creative, astute approach to guitar playing and songwriting. His experimentations never detract from the melodiousness of the songs, or the emotional power of his performances.
Robin has written material performed by Ben Walker, Samantha Whates and Sophie Jamieson, amongst others, and his music and songs have featured on the soundtrack of the feature film A Very British Gangster and on Channel 4's Cutting Edge documentary strand.
His last EP release, 'Green Ginger Wine', was met with some acclaim, and continues to garner more as it is heard more widely.
'Knowing' is the debut release from Oxford/London-based singer-songwriter Anna McCrae. In three short tracks she creates a lyrically narrative, guitar-oriented work which is both sorrowful and defiant in tone. Whilst Knowing floats somewhere between folk and rnb, there are moments where the laid-back, soulfulness of the vocals veers off into something more sassy, more raw.
At only 19 years old she has been performing in Oxford for a while already, including slots at Common People and Cowley Road Carnival, as well as performing live on BBC Oxford as part of Young Women’s Music Project who are currently Oxford’s BBC Introducing artist of the year.
