Fruit Palace presents:

Explosive dance floor-centric hip hop reggae of TARZAN BROS alongside PRIMO NELSON 11 piece hard hitting funk unit, live poetic hip hop electronica from BROTHER PORTRAIT and on turntable duty SELECTA J-MAN DJ/producer mixing party flexed ragga-jungle.

TARZAN BROS drop dance floor-centric hip hop and reggae beats live and direct with a 9-piece band laced with explosive vocals and a fiery horn section. With two EPs under their belts and a bunch of banging remixes, TARZAN BROS’ve stamped their sound with heavy basslines and raw-funky vocals to make you move.

A force in music for the past decade, brothers Theo and Greg have shared stages alongside massive artists including Thievery Corporation, The Skatalites, Gentleman and Quantic.

PRIMO NELSON are an original, hard hitting, funk inspired, groove movement of heavy horns, ripping riffs with a thumping funk core, husky tones and so much more. In the three years this unit has been together they’ve been championed by Craig Charles on BBC Radio 6 Funk & Soul Show and supported George Clinton Funkadelic Paliament, Gilles Peterson and Sugar Hill Gang among others.

BROTHER PORTRAIT is a writer/rhymer/hip hop artist and one third of hip hop group black/other. On point lyricism and flow over alluring beats, synths and samples. Come see this boundary stretching artist play out with a 5 piece live band for the first time. He's a believer in the importance of cultural production and archiving experience for understanding expression and sense of self.

Fast becoming one of the most talked about up and coming producers on the UK underground circuit, Bristol's dubplate munching badman SELECTA J-MAN has been taking the scene by storm with his trademark style of party flexed ragga-jungle. He’s been winning sound clashes with his label mates at Born on Road whilst releasing tracks with Daddy Freddy, Blackout JA and Parly B. It’s clear that this electric DJ/producer is only headed one way; forwards!
