One of contemporary British cinema's most distinctive filmmakers, Clio Barnard follows The Selfish Giant and The Arbor with this searing and eloquent Yorkshire set drama exploring the fragility of familial relationships.
Inspired by Rose Tremain's novel Trespass and combining the poetic realism of The Selfish Giant with a heightened strain of tragedy, Barnard weaves a dark contemporary folk tale out of familial trauma and exploitation.
We're delighted to host Clio Barnard for a 'ScreenTalk' after the film, which will be hosted by film critic Kate Muir.
