Becoming Barbaric: Why Do 'Normal' People Commit Genocide?

Are mass killers born barbaric and genocidal? History shows that the worst atrocities ever committed are undertaken by ‘normal people’. Join Jonathan Tait-Harris, a former U.N War Crimes Investigator, to examine the reasons why normal people turn into mass killers and the influencing factors we can identify as warning signs.

Jonathan will lead you through the indicators that can lead to genocide & crimes against humanity that he witnessed during his investigations in Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq, Libya and Gaza. War and genocide are not exclusive; ongoing conflict, control of the media, autocracy, dehumanisation of others, symbolism, ideology & minority elitism are all factors that may be present.

From personal experiences such as being in court with Saddam Hussein, meeting convicted Bosnian Serb generals, interviewing people like Chemical Ali (Ali Hassan al Majid), and meeting survivors of mass executions, Jonathan will take you into killers' minds and tell you why he thinks people BECOME BARBARIC.
