Join us to celebrate the opening of our exhibition 'Post-Soviet Visions: image and identity in the new Eastern Europe', which gathers a generation of young artists exploring visual representations of the New East and questions of sexuality, gender and style.

After a preview of the exhibition at Calvert 22 Space, the evening will continue with an after party at the Ace Hotel London Shoreditch featuring a live performance by headliner Kedr livanskiy, Russia’s reigning queen of dreamy underground electronica, and DJ sets by Masha Batsea and felicita.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION:

'Post-Soviet Visions: image and identity in the new Eastern Europe' is a group show of photography exploring new visual representations of lifestyle and landscape in Eastern Europe. The exhibition gathers the work of a young generation of artists rising to prominence a quarter century after the end of Communism.

Participating artists: Armen Parsadanov, David Meskhi, Dima Komarov, Genia Volkov, Grigor Devejiev, Hassan Kurbanbaev, Ieva Raudsepa, Jedrzej Franek, Masha Demianova, Michal Korta, Patrick Bienert and Max von Gumppenberg, Paulina Korobkiewicz, and Pavel Milyakov

Curated by Ekow Eshun and Anastasiia Fedorova.
