Calling all music lovers!

Join us for a special celebration of the rich heritage behind Black British music. Through a series of intimate live performances, insightful talks, archives and interactive activities, we explore the powerful musical journey that has contributed towards the “Black Sound” in the UK. Curated by Rodney P, this day is a full take-over of BCA transforms the different chapters of the Black Sound.

Since the formation of London Posse in 1987 and the release of his subsequent solo work which established him as a genre defying emcee, Rodney P has come to be regarded as the Godfather of UK Hip Hop. He has collaborated with fellow UK Hip Hop giant, RootzManuva, R&B and funk artists Omar and The Brand New Heavies and toured across the world. Through his production company Riddim Killers, Rodney is now engrossed in a new passion project entitled Under The Influence, a documentary that tells the story of reggae music and UK hip hop.
