Tickets: £10 / £8 via Eventbrite
Led by Charlotte Procter and Moira Salt, this short introductory course explores the threads of race, gender, immigration and place in the LUX Collection; topics which are as relevant today in our political and social discourse, as they have been throughout LUX’s rich history.
LUX has a wide-ranging, international collection of over 7,000 works of artist moving image developed since the foundation of the London Film-Makers’ Co-operative in 1966. Introduction to the LUX Archive is an ongoing series that provides insight into the LUX collection through the eyes of curators, researchers and members of staff.
— Moira Salt is writer and artist, living in London. Currently, she works at LUX as the Marketing and Events Co-ordinator. She has a BA from Wimbledon School of Art, and was recently the Stanley Picker Trainee at Matt’s Gallery, London.
Charlotte Procter is an archivist, film programmer and Collection Manager of LUX. She is also a member of the Cinenova Working Group. cinenova.org
