The Horrorist live
Vittorio Di Mango
The Horrorist, Oliver Chesler is one of the best known and loved electronic musicians.
Recording since 1989 he has released over 80 12" singles and 3 full length albums. In 2001 he had a Number 1 hit on the German Dance Charts (DDC) with the song «One Night in NYC» and in 2004 his album «Manic Panic» went to Number 1 on the German Alternative Chart (DAC). The scope of his music catalog is huge an...d he has recorded for every major label (Universal, Sony, Warner, Koch, etc...) and all the best known techno labels (Tresor, Industrial Strength, Neue Heimat, etc..). His subsequent albums “Attack Decay” (2007) and “Joyless Pleasure” (2011) have been met rave reviews! His new album “Fire Funmania” was released in January 2013.
In 1997 Oliver Chesler started the hugely respected Things to Come Records. Originally a business decision to take control of his own royalties the label has also given The Horrorist and other TTC label artists freedom to produce the music they like. Oliver Chesler is one of the few artists and label-owners making something new, groundbreaking, and original that gets wider acclaim.
The Horrorist is a sensational live act.
A mixture of industrial attitude and punk style with synth-techno music. Playing a set that goes from minimal or new wave all the way to hardcore and everything in between, there is something for everyone. But the biggest thing about the Horrorist's sets is the interactivity that comes with having a live performer that a crowd is capable of understanding. The show is comprised of Chesler's in your face vocals, video projection and live drum machine and synth.
The Horrorist is one of those unique artists that only come around once in a while. He is a big influence on the electronic music scene and will be for years to come.
Going by the alias Trenton Chase, Demitri Kokkinakos is a Greek recording artist, based in London.
Along side June (Tsampikos Fronas) he runs June Records, under which he released his first three solo projects; The Vampire of Sacremento, The Manor Conspiracy and his debut LP Deadlock.
June and Chase formed Manie Sans Délire in 2015. A group that creates electronic music, preformed and recorded live.
His ever-growing fascination with synthesizers, drum machines and live recording has shown growth in his records from release to release.
Recently, Chase has begun his own cassette label entitled Hypnos.
Vittorio Di Mango is an Italian DJ/producer from the class of 97 who was born in Trani, a small city in the South of Italy.
His sets are characterized by a weaving of modern techno, with sounds such as acid, industrial and EBM.
In September 2016, the four-track debut “Wrong definition” EP was released on Berlin-based, AMOK Tapes. Solidifying an affiliation with the label, Vittorio later contributed to the “Kommando Kompilation” with Blush Response, Unhuman, Alexey Volkov, Ontal, Human Performance Lab and more. In January 2017, his first remix “Prepare to Die” on NEN Records was released. In April of the same year, “Epilessia” was inaugurated, his first track on vinyl with I Hate Models through London-based, Khemia records.
Working a unique blend of EBM, electro, post punk and techno, Øliver’s current interests lay at the intersection of a paradox, weaving nostalgia with sharp modernity, showing little regard for conventional boundaries within electronic music. He has quickly built name within the London circuit through his residency at Grey Matter and regular appearances throughout the city’s clubs and spaces. Outside of his DJ appearances and recent recordings, much of the story is yet to be written. With a debut EP set for release this year, the project will soon cut through the air of anticipation.
