A little bit exciting to be supporting these guys, then to dance to miss wendy may afterward; its going to be one hell of a night!
This Rock and Soul band were named Time Out London Magazine's best live band for 2 years running. They toured with Roy Orbison and supported The Beach Boys at Wembley Arena. They also played alongside The Cure, The Stranglers (Official), BB King, Bo Diddley, Eddie Floyd, The Communards, Bad Manners and Dr. Feelgood. The TV work flowed with powerful performances on The Tube, Saturday Night Live, Jools Holland’s Hogmanay, TVAM’s Wide Awake Club, ITV’s Razzmatazz and Cue the Music. Also BBC’s Pebble Mill and Saturday Superstore, culminating as the resident band on channel 4’s Ruby Wax series, Don’t Miss Wax.
Touring was extensive, 250 gigs a year including the closing of GLC on the Southbank, The Prince’s Trust at Wembley Arena and Prince Edward’s birthday party. Festivals included the main stage at Glastonbury (including a live Radio 1 performance) and the Reading Festival.
Recently they have been played on BBC Radio 6’s Steve Lamacq show.
They are back together after a 30 year sabbatical to celebrate the life of their bass player Capt B A Gags who passed away late last year.
