Ekaterina Zaharieva is Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria. As Bulgaria holds the EU Presidency for the first half of the year, Minister Zaharieva will talk about the priorities of the EU, including successful Brexit negotiations, the accession negotiations with Western Balkan countries, Syria, and the economic sanctions on Russia.

— Ekaterina Zaharieva is Deputy Prime ...Minister for Judicial Reform and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria since May 2017. She was previously Minister of Justice in the second government of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov from December 2015 to January 2017. She graduated from “Bertholt Brecht” Foreign Language School in Pazardjik, Bulgaria and holds a Master’s degree in Law from University of Plovdiv «Paisii Hilendarski». She was awarded Honour Badge of the Union of Bulgarian Jurists and Commander Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland.
Professor James Ker-Lindsay is LSEE Senior Visiting Fellow, previously Eurobank Senior Research Fellow on the Politics of South East Europe. He is Professor of Politics and Policy in the School of Arts and Humanities at St Mary's University.
