When discussing the canon of jazz fusion, artists don't come much bigger or more influential than the great Chick Corea.
As a member of Miles Davis's band in the late 1960s, he participated in the birth of jazz fusion itself, before going on to form his own iconic band Return To Forever in the 70s which included legendary bassist Stanley Clarke, drummer Lenny White, guitarist Frank Gambale and violinist Jean-Luc Ponty.
The recipient of over 20 Grammy Awards and with over 60 nominations, Corea's work with Return To Forever (especially the debut record and Light As A Feather), remains a high water mark in 20th century jazz.
Taking on the unenviable task of reproducing his epic work live is a supergroup comprised of three members from the Yussef Dayes Quartet (Charlie Stacey, Mansur Brown and Tom Driessler), plus drummer Jamie Murray (Sun Ra Arkestra, Native Dancer).
